Why was this site created? Whilst every high score achieved on Donkey Kong is based upon high level skill and determination, there are undeniable advantages to MAME and custom cabinets.
Some examples are listed below..

* The ability to sit on a comfy seat, at a level desk, for hours on end.
* Having a perfectly positioned monitor resulting in less glare and eye strain.
* Using a keyboard, allowing immediate directional changes without the throw of a clunky joystick.
* Use of more responsive joystick/button, and to have in perfect position.
* No surrounding distractions and pressure of doing it live in the Arcade.
* .INP file COULD be from anywhere.  Where is the proof that the person submitting actually played, and didn't acquire the file..? (Live Twitch games excluded, of course)


This website is NOT an attempt to be a replacement for any other Donkey Kong source or exclude players, and is here for the purists that agree with the above views.  I hope that it encourages players to hit their local arcades, and inspires them to go big on an original cab when the pressure is on!
